Dual N-Back is a scientifically-validated cognitive training task that targets working memory. During the game, you're presented with two simultaneous streams of stimuli: a visual element (a square appearing on a grid) and an audio element (a letter or sound).
Your task is to identify when either stimulus matches what appeared "N" steps back in the sequence. For example, in 2-back, you're checking if the current position or sound matches what happened 2 trials ago.
Research published in peer-reviewed journals has shown that consistent Dual N-Back training can improve fluid intelligence—the ability to reason and solve new problems—as well as working memory capacity.
